COLORFUL + CONNECTED + JOYFUL

Your Love is Gorgeous!

and your wedding is a day to celebrate it out loud with the people who make you feel seen

People throw around the term, “intimate wedding.” I prefer the term, “Connected wedding.” Here’s why…

It isn’t about the number of people at your wedding. It’s about how you feel with those people.

Sharing vows is an intimate thing. PDA is vulnerable for so many of us, but your wedding day is a day to shamelessly make out with your partner (if you want to), hold each other close, and celebrate on the dance floor surrounded by people who love you. It makes sense that you wouldn’t wanna do that with your borderline-homophobic uncle.

A connected wedding is about being with the people — and only the people — who make you feel seen, celebrate and LOVED.

Whether you’re celebrating with five family members in a meadow, 100 of your closest friends at a backyard BBQ, or just the two of you on a mountain top with your dog, surround yourself with those who love you and cherish your relationship for exactly what it is.

“One of the things we loved most about working with Jennie was how she kept encouraging us to consider what was the most important to the two of us and to continue to refine the plans of our day according to what we wanted our day to feel like.

Our elopement was relaxed, fun, and filled with so many intimate moments that would have been missing had it not been for the connection we had with Jennie. She delivered exactly what we were looking for in our wedding day photos. Emotion, adventure, love, joy, surprise. We continually look back on them and reflect on the moments that are captured in those photos. We tell the stories. We laugh, and we cry. We would choose her again and again, and we hope you’ll choose her too!”

There are no rules on your wedding day

  • Make your cat your ring bearer
  • Take portraits pictures with your chosen family
  • Have your best friend officiate

You Are in Charge

Look, I know it’s overwhelming to plan a wedding. You might have family members in your head telling you to do one thing, a wedding planner telling you to do something else, and TikTok couples weighing in about all of the things they would do differently if they were getting married again.

It doesn’t leave a lot of room for you to figure out what you want. So, if I should be lucky enough to become your wedding photographer, my promise to you is this: I will always remind you that this day isn’t about what anyone else thinks. It’s about how you feel.

What’s important to you is important to me

Hi, I’m Jennie (she/her/hers) and that’s me on the right. The other awesome human is my wife, Heather, (they/them)!

There is so much joy in finding your person

Look how cute mine is!

But the world doesn’t always share in our joy. A month before my wife and I were supposed to get married, California passed a state constitutional amendment barring same-sex marriages. We went forward with our celebration, but it became all-the-more important to us that every single person in attendance — vendors included —  were there to support and celebrate us.

Photographing LGBTQ+ couples as an LGBTQ photographer in Colorado is special to me because it gives me the chance to pay it forward: to make sure that everyone who steps in front of my lens feels safe, seen, and celebrated.

And in case you want some help planning your perfect LGBTQ+ wedding in Colorado?

I have guides covering everything from finding LGBTQ+ vendors to navigating tricky family dynamics to picking the perfect, gender-affirming attire.

“I’m not sure we can say enough wonderful things about Jennie! As an introverted, LGBTQ couple, we were extremely worried about finding a photographer who made us feel comfortable. We searched A LOT of places on the web until we found Jennie and we fell in love with her work!”
